Position - Registered Nurse, (Emergency Department)
Location - Monticello, IL
Shift - 12 hrs Night
Contract Duration - 13 Weeks
Job Responsibilities:
Assessing patients upon arrival, determining the severity of their condition, and prioritizing care accordingly.
Providing immediate care to patients with acute illnesses or injuries, including administering medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by the physician.
Continuously monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, recognizing any changes or deterioration in health status.
Working closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including physicians, other nurses, technicians, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Accurately documenting patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatments in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Educating patients and their families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions, ensuring understanding and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are typically required. Additional certifications such as Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) may be preferred.
Experience: Prior experience in emergency nursing or critical care is often preferred, although some facilities offer training programs for new graduates.
